[Case Study] A case where the hot water supply pipe burst once a week.
We will introduce a case where frequent holes appeared in the hot water pipes (copper pipes) of the central hot water supply system at a university hospital, leading to ongoing repairs.
At the university hospital, the hot water supply pipes (copper pipes) frequently developed holes, leading to constant repairs. Inspection results confirmed copper leaching, and it was determined that the high levels of free carbonic acid in the well water used for make-up water—ten times higher than in tap water—were the cause. Free carbonic acid is highly corrosive to copper, so as a corrosion prevention measure, a drinking water rust inhibitor was applied to resolve the issue. 【Overview】 ■Problem - Frequent holes in the hot water supply pipes (copper pipes) leading to constant repairs. ■Solution - Applied a drinking water rust inhibitor as a corrosion prevention measure. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
